SENIOR TEAM

Avior Capital's management team has been operating for more than 25 years in the Spanish and European private equity market in top-tier international firms and has extensive experience in private equity investments in a variety of industries, countries, stages of development and equity and debt instruments.

Felipe Moreno
  • Felipe is responsible for Avior's investment team and currently oversees investments in MT Helmets and ESP Solutions.
  • Felipe has been a member of Bridgepoint's Spanish team for 20 years. In this period, he has contributed to the evaluation, execution and supervision of investments in a variety of companies active in different industries and with amounts in line with the major development of the Private Equity industry in Spain. He was also a member of the firm's Industry and Services teams.
  • From 2014 to 2016, Felipe was a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Capital, Growth and Investment (ASCRI).
  • Previously, Felipe was a member of the Corporate Finance team at Bank of America in Madrid.
  • Felipe holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and an MBA from Babson College (Wellesley, MA).

Borja del Olmo
  • Borja is responsible for Avior's investment team and currently oversees investments in MT Helmets and ESP Solutions. Borja is responsible for investor relations at the firm.
  • Borja has developed his professional career in private equity since 2006, being part of the Advent International team in Madrid and later at Bridgepoint, where he developed most of his career and as a member of the firm's Consumer, Distribution and Media teams.
  • In 2014 he joined the Rhône Capital team in London, where he was responsible for Spain coverage as well as sourcing and executing investments in Europe.
  • During his career, Borja has executed numerous investments and has been an advisor to a variety of companies
  • Prior to private equity, Borja was a business consultant for 4 years and held a management position in a family owned company.
  • He holds a double degree in Business Administration (E2) and Marketing (ITM) from ICADE and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management - Northwestern University and London Business School, where he was a scholar of the CajaMadrid Foundation.

Rafael Porras
  • Rafael is COO of Avior and oversees all internal control functions. He is also involved in the investment in MT Helmets.
  • Rafael has 30 years of investment and financial sector experience.
  • He spent most of his career at Bankia as Investment Director, being responsible for the financial management of the industrial portfolio (over 300 companies), as well as the financial and real estate portfolios. He was also Director of Strategic Development, leading the bank's international expansion in the United States and Latin America, being a member of their Boards of Directors.
  • Prior to Bankia, he was Head of Structured Credit Products at Bank of America in Spain for 5 years and spent another 3 years working for Banco Santander in its International Credit Division.
  • More recently, Rafael has been an advisor to mid-sized companies in Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, as well as Digital Transformation.

  • Rafael holds a BS in Business Administration from Saint Louis University (MO) and an MBA, with honors, from Fordham University (NY).

     

Javier Martín de la Torre
  • Javier is a member of Avior's investment team and is involved in investing in ESP Solutions.
  • Javier has spent his career in private equity since 2015, most of his time at the American fund manager ACON Investments covering Spain and Portugal.
  • Previously, he was in a special situations fund focused on operational improvements.
  • During his career, Javier has executed numerous investments (food, cosmetics, industrials, etc.) and has been an advisor in a variety of companies.
  • Prior to private equity, Javier worked for four years in a boutique investment banking firm, executing M&A transactions and debt restructurings.
  • He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from CUNEF.
